A young woman named Tara gets a job as a maid for a hip and wealthy couple. The husband is chatty, but the wife looks uncomfortable and won’t look you in the eye. Tara senses something is wrong. The wife passes Tara a note one evening: “Help me.” Tara discovers that the husband is holding everything hostage and punishes her for little mistakes. Tara is helping to collect evidence, pretending she’s doing her job. After a great deal of planning, she secretly calls a women’s help group.
